One of Thailand's most beautiful fishing resorts was recently opened by TV presenter and angling celebrity John Wilson. Located only 14 km from the seaside town of Hua Hin, Thailand. Situated in a beautiful valley amid graceful trees and sunlit lawns, this fishing resort features 3 mirror-like lakes stocked with a variety of the world’s hardest fighting freshwater sport fishing species like Arapaima, Mekong Catfish, Amazon Redtail Catfish, Barramundi, Giant Siamese Carp. Greenfield Fishing Resort  impresses the visitor at once with its peaceful solitude and relaxed social atmosphere. The family resort features a restaurant and anglers lounge. Greenfield fishing resort is located only 20 minutes from the seaside town of Hua Hin, Thailand, allowing non fishing members of your group to enjoy all the facilities of Hua Hin town, one of Thailand's top tourist destinations. There are numerous cottages on the resort complex. Each cottage has a spacious bedroom, 3-piece bathroom, air con, bed linens, towels, fridge, coffee maker and cable TV.

The main lake is full of fish, including great sporting fish species such as Barramundi, Amazon Red-tail, Siamese Carp, Giant Mekong Catfish... as well as prized targets such as Arapaima, Marbled Tiger Catfish, Julien's Golden Prize Carp, and many more. Currently the biggest specimens are approaching 300lbs and growing rapidly! 

Limited Fishing - No more than 5 anglers per day!
Unique among Thailand's Fishing Venues, Greenfield Valley limits the number of anglers permitted to fish on the main lake to just 5 a day. The benefits of this as one of the sensible fishery rules are largely self explanatory, but the goal of the policy is to ensure any anglers that choose a day's fishing at Greenfield Valley will know with certainty that they will be able to enjoy the tranquil setting without disturbance and happy in the knowledge fishing pressure is kept to a minimum. With 12 swims available anglers will always be able to change swims if they feel it will improve their chances on the day

The fishing tackle is all top quality, including terminal tackle. All rigs are fish friendly; barbless hooks only, and safety rigs so the lead or method feeder falls free should one of the monster fish manage to break the line. Fly–fishing or lure fishing is an option you might like to try, but please bring along your own equipment should you want to try these methods, and remember its barbless hooks only. A minimum of a 8 weight rod and lines is required to tackle these fish!

Transfers from Hua-Hin and Cha-Am*
(An air-conditioned minibus service costing only 180 THB one way departs from Victory Monument every hour and also from Morchit Busterminal in Bangkok from 0500 hours to a bus stop close to the lake where we pick you up. This makes it possible to do day trips from Bangkok to Greenfield fishing resort.

The Carp Lake

Our Carp Lake is set in the peaceful grounds of Greenfield Valley's 80 acre estate. Designed with the carp angler in mind this 2.5 acre lake has natural grass banks with plenty of shade from several mature trees or from your big bivvy if you prefer.  Fishing is from one bank so nobody can fish opposite you. There are only 5 swims available each swim is supplied with a big bivvy, 2 bedchairs, 2 chairs, table, gas cooker for you coffee or tea,  rod pod with alarms, Fox swingers  and two carp rods with Shimano Bait runner reels. This is Thailand’s first carp lake with a set up similar to a top end European carp venue. Here you can fish all day and night in a natural setting to a very affordable price, just like home, but warmer and with bigger fish available.

There is a small onsite restaurant and bar, serving a range of delicious Thai and western foods, snacks, soft and alcoholic drinks and close by there is also a toilet.

There are an abundance of species in the carp lake, present in large numbers. Target Species available are Giant Siamese Carp, Catla Catla (Indian Siamese Carp), Rohu Carp, Julien’s Golden Prize Carp, Bighead Carp, Common Carp, Giant Gourami, Mekong Catfish, Barramundi, Pacu, Featherbacks and more. Without question, the carp lake is a class act: beauty, quality, performance, and versatility at a very affordable price.

Bait / set of mixed boilies and pop-ups, 4 bags of ground bait. Bait provided is normally enough to last 6hr to 8hrs of fishing, additional bait is always available at inexpensive prices.

Tackle: 2 Daiwa rods and Shimano baitrunner reels per angler, rod pod with alarms, Fox swingers, hair rigs and leaders (all safety rigs), landing net, release mat. 

24 hour Ticket Costs:

3,000 Baht per person for 24 hours fishing (or shorter time if you don't want to fish for 24 hours).
